Yoga for Every Body

Jane Schaeffer from The Yoga Place, who has been practicing yoga for 44 years and teaching it for 20, will be instructing this class designed for those new to yoga, those with limitations of any sort and those who are a bit shy of trying yoga. Beginning centering, warm ups, simple yoga postures and deep relaxation form the core of this class, which will work to still your mind and body and keep your heart in the solution.
Events are free, but registration is required to ensure enough materials and seating. Participation is open to people with disabilities, their caregivers and allies.

Advanced Directives for Healthcare Workshop

Presented by Merry Postemski of Disability Rights Vermont in conjunction with VCIL. Learn how you can have a voice in medical decisions when you can’t express yourself. We will be learning about how to inform your health care workers and family about what services you would like to receive or not receive in the event that you’re unconscious, incapacitated or in mental health crisis. We begin the process of writing the directives and receive resources for completing them.
This event is free, but pre-registration is required to ensure enough materials. Participation is open to people with disabilities, their caregivers and allies.
