Improving Access to Buildings, Programs and Services
Community Access Program works to improve access to buildings, services and programs in the state of Vermont. Program specialists provide technical assistance and trainings to employers, businesses, law enforcement agencies, domestic and sexual violence programs and shelters, and people with and without disabilities.
VCIL is Vermont’s ADA Technical Assistance and Training provider through funding from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR).
2015 is the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The Vermont Department of Tourism & Marketing is working with VCIL to highlight accessible outdoor recreation opportunities in 2015. Visit www.inclusivevermont.com for a Google Map and listing of adaptive sports programs.
