Community Access Program provides technical assistance and training to employers, municipalities and the general public with support from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation and Research (NIDILRR).
In 2014, VCIL provided training to 313 people through nine events including:
- “Accessibility and Historic Buildings in Vermont Building Codes,” hosted by Associated General Contractors.
- “National Summer Transportation Institute Pedestrian Access, hosted by Vermont Agency of Transportation.
- “Granting Employment Accommodations” for Vermont AmeriCorps/Vista members.
- “Granting Accommodations & Service Animals” for Vermont Association of Property Managers.
