Community Access Program provides technical assistance and training to employers, municipalities and the general public with the support from DBTAC – New England ADA Center from the National Institute of Rehabilitation and Research (NIDRR).
ADA Title I Employment Training provides tools necessary for employers to meet their obligations to the ADA, including making reasonable accommodations and hiring and firing people with disabilities.
ADA Title II State/Local Gov’t Training provides the tools municipalities need to assign or hire an effective ADA Coordinator, design and implement a simple grievance process, create or update transition plans, and draft and distribute a notice of provision of accessible services. VCIL also provides technical assistance over the phone or in-person to town managers, city councils, design review boards, and community groups.
ADA Title III Public Accommodations Training is currently being developed.
Basic ADA & Disability Etiquette Training is a general training designed for businesses and non profits to increase their capacity to work respectfully with people with disabilities.
