Downtown Rutland

(RAIN DATE: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9 • 2:00 P.M.)
The Disabled Access & Advocacy of the Rutland Area (DAARA) Committee invites you to join us for an Accessibility Tour around Downtown Rutland to identify accessibility barriers in the area.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME
Participants will follow a route in downtown Rutland City in Vermont. This is meant to include anyone—with or without a walker, wheelchair, or cane. Disabled and non-disabled participants are welcome.
WHAT WE’LL DO
• Identify accessibility barriers and areas that need changes.
• Consider how people of ALL abilities can maneuver safely without tripping, falling, or experiencing other mishaps.
• Help open people’s minds to the need for improved accessibility in downtown Rutland.
• We hope to have some wheelchairs available for people to use to try to navigate during the walk.
Anyone interested in getting more educated and supporting awareness and accessibility is welcome!
STARTING LOCATION
Outside the Vermont Center for Independent Living (VCIL) building 60 Center St., Suite 1 Rutland, VT 05701
